A New Chapter Begins: UOESD Sends Another Scholar Abroad

Today, we are delighted to announce that Miss Ogbu Grace Chimfulumnanya, one of the outstanding scholarship recipients from the 2022 UOESD National Debating Championship and a proud representative of John Igwesi Memorial Grammar School, has arrived safely in India 🇮🇳 to commence her scholarship programme. As earlier shared, she received her visa a few weeks ago, and she has now embarked on her academic journey to study Nursing at the prestigious Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India, through the bilateral agreement between the United Organization for Education and Sports Development (UOESD), India and the institution.

We also wish to use this special opportunity to express our profound gratitude to the President General of UOESD, Amb. Prof. Chineke Cajethan Goodluck, whose God-given passion continues to bring smiles to the faces of brilliant Nigerian students. He remains a true blessing to this generation.We congratulate Grace and wish her the very best in her academic pursuits in India 🇮🇳.

 We also remind all other scholarship awardees who selected India and have completed all requirements that the 2026 processing cycle has begun. Please note that only candidates who obtained their WAEC/NECO in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible. Those with results from 2022 and earlier who were unable to process their applications have exceeded the allowable timeframe and are no longer eligible to proceed.
