The United Organization for Education and Sports Development and Commonwealth Society of Nigeria are proud to announce the 2025/2026 edition of the National Youth Talent and Discovery Awards for Catholic Youths in Nigeria. This initiative, launched in 2021 at St. Albert The Great Catholic Chaplaincy, ESUT, Enugu, aims to empower and recognize the talents of young Catholics across the country.
How to Participate
We invite the general public to participate in determining the host diocese for the 2026 event by casting their votes through this link: (https://smartpolls.co.uk/p/121981). All dioceses in Nigeria are eligible, and the voting exercise will close on June 1st, 2025, at 11:59 pm.
Awards and Recognition for Winning Diocese on Vote
The winning diocese will receive a cash prize of ₦100,000 and the prestigious Commonwealth Diocese of the Year for Youth Development Award. This recognition highlights the diocese's commitment to youth development and active participation in the competition process.
Eligibility and Stages
The competition is open to Catholic youths from the following organizations: CYON (Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria)
NFCS (National Federation of Catholic Students)
YCS (Young Christian Students)
The competition and awards process consists of three stages:-
National Stage: Winners emerge at the national level
Continental Stage: National winners compete at the continental level
Global Stage: Continental winners compete at the global level
