UOESD Successfully Concludes 2026 National Quiz & Debating Championship, Global Impact and Inspiring Leadership Awards, and Official Book Launch

As the President General of the Universal Organisation for Education, Sports and Leadership Distinction (UOESD), I am delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the 2026 Nigeria National Inter-Schools' Quiz and Debating Championship for Primary Schools, Junior Secondary Schools, Senior Secondary Schools, and Tertiary Institutions. The landmark event also featured the 2026 Global Impact and Inspiring Leadership Awards and the official launch of my novel, Weight of Tomorrow.

The historic gathering brought together participants, educators, policymakers, distinguished personalities, and guests from across Nigeria and several countries of the world, reaffirming our commitment to promoting academic excellence, leadership development, youth empowerment, and national transformation through education.

Primary School Category

1st Position: Central School, Enugwu Akwu Achi, Oji River, Enugu State

2nd Position: Practicing Primary School, Agulu, Anambra State

3rd Position: Ojiakor Memorial Primary School, Adazi-Nnukwu, Anambra State

Junior Secondary School Category

1st Position: Navy Secondary School, Imeri, Ondo State

2nd Position: Sisters of Jesus Christ Secondary School, Owerri, Imo State

3rd Position: Regina Pacis International School, Onitsha, Anambra State

Senior Secondary School Category

1st Position: Our Lady International Schools, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State

2nd Position: Community Secondary School, Okoro-Nu-Odo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State

3rd Position: Michael Tansi Memorial Secondary School, Aguleri, Anambra State

Tertiary Institution Category

1st Position: Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State

2nd Position: University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State

3rd Position: Anambra State College of Nursing Sciences, Nkpor, Anambra State

Scholarships and Educational Opportunities

The winning Primary Schools will receive the cash prizes announced during the closing ceremony in recognition of their exceptional performances.

In line with our longstanding commitment to educational advancement, winners in the Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary, and Tertiary Institution categories will be considered for Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship opportunities through UOESD's international educational partnerships and mentorship programme. Beneficiaries must satisfy all stipulated eligibility requirements, including outstanding academic performance in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), just as beneficiaries currently studying abroad under the programme. Further guidelines will be communicated to the successful schools and students in due course.

Global Impact and Inspiring Leadership Awards

We congratulate all recipients of the 2026 Global Impact and Inspiring Leadership Awards for their remarkable contributions to education, leadership, youth development, public service, entrepreneurship, humanitarian service, and national development. Your achievements continue to inspire positive change within Nigeria and across the international community.

On behalf of the leadership of UOESD, I sincerely appreciate every participant, school, tertiary institution, parent, sponsor, volunteer, partner organisation, adjudicator, ministry representative, Nollywood personalities, media partners, security personnel, and distinguished guests whose invaluable support contributed to the remarkable success of this event.

I extend special appreciation to our esteemed delegates and guests who travelled from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Liberia, India, Ghana, Cyprus, and various parts of Nigeria, as well as other international participants whose presence added great value and prestige to this year's programme.

Your commitment, sacrifices, and confidence in our vision continue to inspire us to raise the standards of education, leadership, and youth development across Nigeria and beyond.

I congratulate all champions, award recipients, schools, institutions, and participants for their outstanding performances and encourage them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence, integrity, innovation, and transformational leadership.
